Under the direction of the Membership Director, the Site Supervisor is responsible for providing quality member service by ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This includes, but is not limited to, greeting members, promoting and selling memberships and programs to prospective members in order to meet or exceed personal monthly goals and team goals for sales and retention and to provide quality member service. Know How:1.       A working knowledge of computers (MS Word, MS Excel, Spirit helpful).2.       Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, problem solve, and possess effective time management skills.3.       Must pass the State of Georgia criminal background check and Spirit IT training.4.       Must have a high school degree or GED.5.       Prefer a minimum of one year or more experience in working relating to customer service.6.       High degree of human relation skills:  Ability to effectively communicate and manage information to peers, staff and volunteers. Essential Functions:1.       Communicate in a positive manner with members, guests, program participants and volunteers. Provide appropriate assistance as needed.2.       Promote and sell YMCA memberships to families and individuals.   Receipt memberships and programs in Spirit. 3.       Utilize sales and customer service techniques4.       Insure all members, volunteers and staff are conducting themselves appropriately to maintain a family atmosphere.5.       Maintains privacy requirements by not sharing personal information about members including, but not limited to, phone numbers, addresses, program participation, financial information, or personal situations.6.       Greet members, answer questions, give tours, take pictures and selling memberships and programs.7.       Take steps to building committed and connected relationships with members, volunteers, and collaborative partners.8.       Adhere to, and implement, all policies and procedures listed in the Front Desk Handbook.9.       Assist with all incidents or medical emergencies.10.    Write incident report that clearly explains any occurrences, and communicate to supervisor immediately of “major” incidents.11.    Responsible for opening or closing procedures.12.    Knowledge of the Coach Approach and the ability to work effectively with the wellness staff.13.    Maintain branch and association certifications in CPR/AED, Blood-borne Pathogens, branch orientation, and Branch Emergency procedures.14.    Adhere to, and implement, all policies and procedures listed in the training manual.15.    Attend all staff meetings and trainings, as required.16.    Consistent display of the core values of honesty, respect, caring, and responsibility when dealing with members, volunteers, and staff.17.    Stay educated and updated on current issues regarding all YMCA programs and events.18.    Carry out other appropriate duties as prescribed by supervisor.19.    Assist in annual branch Partner With Youth Campaign.  Achieve individual and team goals as related to the campaign.20.    Membership cards, guest passes, etc. must be scanned, recorded as required in training manual. Ergonomic Requirements:Bending, stooping, standing, lifting, seeing, hearing, 50% keyboard input, some sitting, walking, climbing stairs.  Ability to take prospects on tours of the building. Effect on End Result:This position has a direct impact on the continued effectiveness of the YMCA in the community as well as on its membership. This effectiveness can be measured by: 1.       The perceived quality of programs and services by the members and the community based on verbal feedback.2.       Branches monthly sales and retention goals achieved.3.       Established number of daily contacts and appointments achieved.4.       Excellent attendance.5.       Positive results related to Member Services on written surveys and comments cards.
