Brenau University rarely
closes due to inclement weather, but it can happen. When bad weather
threatens, faculty, staff and students should tune to local
radio stations for the latest information on
changes in Brenau’s hours of operation.
Atlanta radio and television stations will be notified, however,
Atlanta stations are not able to carry the
detailed information with the frequency of announcement that the local
stations can. NOAA Weatheradio
is usually the most reliable source of information.

An announcement concerning
canceling or delaying day classes will be made first, usually between
6:30 and 7:30 a.m. An announcement concerning canceling or delaying
evening classes will be made either before or between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.
Weather conditions often improve during the day, which is why the
university waits later to announce evening cancellations or delays.
(Evening classes refer to all classes that begin at or after 4 p.m.)
Weekend class closings and delays will be announced as soon as possible
and rescheduled on the next available weekend.
An announcement will also be
carried on the
Brenau website
where possible. Go to
www.brenau.edu |
