Holt Interiors is seeking a part-time Interior Design Assistant for the spring of 2021. This position is perfect for an aspiring designer who’s ready to learn the ins and outs of the business beyond sourcing furnishings and fabrics, including client communication, billing, and general project management. The ideal candidate is tech savvy, detail oriented, and extremely organized. Holt Interiors juggles about two dozen residential and commercial design projects at a time, so a sharp memory and keen eye are musts. Training will come from owner/designer Chris Holt and project manager Audrey Hall, who will be out on maternity leave from mid February to mid May. Holt Interiors has been in business for over twenty years and serves a wide variety of clients and styles, so this position will provide a wealth of experience in a short amount of time. We are a small, casual workplace with flexible hours located in the heart of Buckhead. Holt Interiors is attached to Chris Holt’s retail store, Noah J. & Co., so opportunities to learn about merchandising, buying, and retail operations are also available.

Manage client phone calls & emails
Place orders & track projects
Help with design decisions & sourcing
Assist with furniture, flooring, & lighting plans
Create estimates & invoices; pay bills
Plan Chris’ schedule & to-do list
Update websites & social media accounts
Keep office organized & supplies in stock
Run local errands (return memos, pick up blueprints, etc.)
Create client presentations

Car & driver’s license
Experience with Macs & Gmail

Bonus experience desired
Google Drive
Adobe InDesign & Photoshop

20 hours per week; schedule is flexible
$15 per hour
Ideal start date: January 4th
Possible end date: May 28th
