Blackboard Support Available Online 24/7

Blackboard is supported using the Brenau Online Self Support site.  This site allows users to browse the collection of articles related to Blackboard and other univeristy online resources.  You can also use this site to submit trouble tickets, questions, and feedback. 

While most articles are generally available there are some protected depending on your role in the university.  You can use the "Login" feature located in the upper right to gain access to these protected articles.

Please note: If you have contacted IT via helpdesk@brenau.edu in the past you have a support account setup.  The password is not the same as your network/email/Blackboard password.  Click "Forgot Password" to get this password delivered to your Brenau email account.

Are You Looking for Help?

Information Technology, The Online College, The Registar's Office, and the Business Office accept questions and post articles related to Frequently Asked Questions.  To "submit a ticket", which is the method to ask a question of a particular department you will have to have an account in the support portal.  If you have emailed helpdesk@brenau.edu in the past two semesters you have an account. 

Use the directions below after you click on a "Support" link on the Intranet.

To login to the support service:

1. Click on the My Support Tab.

2. Enter your full Brenau Email address.

If you don't know your "support password" - this is different from your normal email password, click on "Forgot Your Password" and it will prompt you for your email and send it to your account.

3. Enter your support password.

Or

Create a new account

1. Follow the on-screen form to complete.

2. Enter a password.

3. It will log you in.

Remember - "Submit a Ticket" provides you with a question form in order to route your request to the right person and department.

The link below will take you to a the Brenau Online Self Support home page where you will need to click "Login" in the upper right.  This login page will ask you for your username and password.  Enter your Brenau email address.  If you know your support password then enter it (unless you have changed it, this is not your normal network/email password).  If you do not know this password, then click on the "Forgot Password" link below the login prompt.

After you "login" use the search feature in the upper left and enter "turnitin".  You will see the student and faculty support articles.

I love the new look of the Brenau Intranet Home Page! It even includes links to Facebook and other pages that I use frequently!

It would be helpful if the book store / campus shop were eaiser to find.

RESPONSE - We moved the link from the bottom of the page to the top. In the future we'll probably do this and when Barnes & Noble comes online we'll feature them.

I do like the new look. I wish you would post a book list for the courses being offered each semester. As a student not located in the Gainesville area I do not always purchase my books from the campus bookstore. It can be very difficult to find out the correct text book needed for classes.

RESPONSE - We added a link at the top (Book List Wiki). We could only get online classes, but hopefully this grows in the future.

I was looking at the announcement for Honor's convocation and it says that the start date and time is thrusday 4/17/08 at 12:ooAM and the end date and time 4/19/08 12:00AM. We aren't gonna be there for two days at midnight and until midnight are we?

I think your redesign has really consolidated some of the resources in an understandable presentation. While I typically feel "lost" navigating Brenau's web pages - this has certainly given me a nice landing page. I look forward to more innovation.

In addition to posting a book list for the classes, it would be great to add the book's ISBN. This should 1) not be any extra work, 2) eliminate any confusion about title and author, and 3) and allows us students to shop around for the best price and delivery date--assuring us of a book before class starts.
