Faculty Led Programs @ Brenau

One of Brenau’s most popular avenues of education abroad is through faculty led programs. It is through these programs that students are able to experience another culture while maintaining some familiar and comfortable surroundings. Often, these are the only programs that our students will be able to participate in, and for that, we thank you for making this possible. In an effort to ease this process, the Office of International Students and Programs has created multiple resources and documents to ensure that you and your students will have safe, fun, productive, and academically enriched travels. Please read through each of these documents carefully, and submit all necessary documents to the Office of International Students and Programs.

Study Abroad Program Development Checklist

Are you thinking about creating an education abroad component to one or more of your courses? This checklist will guarantee that you take all necessary steps for developing your own study abroad program.

Faculty-Led Trip Details

Whether you’re leading your students to the Bahamas for Spring Break or to China for the summer, it is important that you communicate the details of your trip clearly with the Office of International Students and Programs. Two months prior to your trip, you will need to submit your Trip Details to the Office of International Students and Programs. This document will ensure that Brenau has all information regarding who will be abroad and emergency contacts should communication abroad be necessary.

Faculty-Led Budget Template

A complete program budget is required of all programs, and must be submitted to the Office of International Students and Programs prior to advertising a price to students. Developing a complete budget for a study abroad trip can be a difficult and time consuming process, so the Office of International Students and Programs has built a template that will hopefully ease this process for you. It is important that you submit this information so that Brenau has all information necessary for administrative purposes.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of International Students and Programs with any questions.
